The 2.0 update arrived early, having initially been announced for a November 5th release date. One player, however, has gone above and beyond with a section of their New Horizons map, with Twitter user penpen_0907 faithfully recreating the iconic Hyrule Castle gardens mission in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The recreation, which the Twitter user has shown off to fans in a video, appears to replicate the infamous section of the game with astounding accuracy, including similar walls, tall hedges, and even an in-game version of Link’s outfit topped off with a green beanie hat....

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can unlock an art gallery inside of their museum. Once Redd comes to visit their island, players will be able to purchase art items from him. Some of these items will be legit, and some are fakes. Blathers will only take the real ones, but players can still purchase the fake ones for their own homes if they wish. But some of the fake pieces have some weird details that will make most players feel creeped out....

The January update, which released on January 28th, mainly contains the Festivale content. Festivale is a day-long dance celebration inspired by the real-world Mardi Gras. A returning NPC known as Pave the Peacock will task the players with gathering feathers in return for special furniture items from the Pave series. In past Animal Crossing installments, players were also able to collect candies and play minigames with villagers for prizes, though it’s unclear if that element of Festival will stay in New Horizons....

A new poll released by Morning Consult this week found that Gov. Cuomo’s approval rating had fallen by only six points among New York voters after it was alleged that his administration had covered up the true extent of COVID-19 infections and deaths in state nursing homes. Fifty-seven percent of New York voters told Morning Consult pollsters that they approved of Cuomo’s performance thus far, a slight dip from 63 percent who said the same before the New York Post reported that the governor’s top aide admitted to holding back nursing home death data....
