The fix that fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons may appreciate the most is a stability fix to the game’s dreaming mechanic. Dream Islands were introduced Animal Crossing not too long ago, allowing players to visit snapshots of others’ islands while they’re offline. It offered benefits on both sides, as players accepting visitors to Dream Islands don’t have to worry about their island being ransacked or altered, like with a normal air travel visit, and visitors can drop by anytime .

However, Dream Islands weren’t without their faults. Under certain circumstances, the game would crash entirely while visiting another’s Dream Island. This bug has now been fixed, so players who may have been disappointed by their experience with Dream Islands should give it another shot.
In addition, shining soil spots containing money bags will no longer be hidden behind buildings, and letters from animal villagers will be delivered properly again. Nintendo is also investigating an issue that is preventing players from playing together on ‘certain network environments.’
While there’s no new content available in this update, it’s good that Nintendo is ironing out any wrinkles before the next major update rolls in. Following the content update for the summer, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will get an fall update that will also add new things to do, though the developer hasn’t yet revealed exactly what players can expect.
