To begin, Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Valiant Statue is based on the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a Hellenistic sculpture created around the second century BC that is currently housed at the Louvre in Paris. Also called the Nike of Samothrace, this incredible sculpture is formed from marble, and players that are trying to determine the authenticity of a Valiant Statue in ACNH should look to its legs.

Specifically, the fake version of the Valiant Statue in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has its left leg forward, while the real version has its right leg forward. This distinction can be seen quite clearly in the image found below, and players that reference this visual should have little trouble obtaining a legitimate Valiant Statute, which they can then donate to their museum art galleries in ACNH.

To note, while Blathers will not accept a fake version of ACNH’s Valiant Statue for exhibition at the museum, players may still be interested in purchasing one for personal display. Certainly, the forged artworks in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have their own charms, and they are perfectly suitable options for breathing a little life into a villager’s home.

Without question, the addition of artworks, both real and fake, to ACNH is a major development for the game, but it is not the only new thing to be found in Nintendo’s extremely-popular life sim. More specifically, shrubs have just come to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it is definitely possible that the impact of this new flora is even greater than the impact of paintings and sculptures.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
