Twitter user @elxris has created what he calls a “Turnip Calculator” for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The calculator is designed to assist players with what can be a confusing stock market-esque process.

There are a few ways to get the best turnip prices in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the calculator created by @elxris is a new twist to it. Players are able to interact directly with the calculator online. By inputting the buy price, which is how much the turnips cost from Daisy Mae on Sunday, and then adding the cost of the turnips each day (AM and PM), players are able to see the rise and dip in the turnip prices and hopefully take advantage of the perfect opportunity to sell.

Turnips can be stored for only one week, meaning they have to be sold before Daisy Mae sells the next batch on each Sunday. So this handy calculator can be nice to show the trend of the week, even though it is mostly random. Theoretically, if using the Turnip Calculator, Monday through Wednesday may show a relatively low turnip sell price, but Thursday PM could have a nice high price, so that might be the perfect time to sell high.

Because players are unable to plant turnips in New Horizons, the opportunity to take advantage of the hot commodity is short. So any little edge, including a calculator, is super helpful.

Some players resort to time-travel in the Animal Crossing series to jump around and get things accomplished with speed and effectiveness. When it comes to the Stalk Market, however, time travel can be a dangerous game. Turnips can rot. Players can miss Daisy Mae. And the best prices for turnips can be missed. The most practical and wise route, like the Turnip Calculator, may be the best bet.
