According to the official description of the companion guide, the museum will make a return to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Of course, this comes as no surprise since the museum has been featured on all mainline entries to the Animal Crossing franchise. However, given that Nintendo has been marketing New Horizons as a departure from its predecessors, the return of the museum remained a mystery until now.

In previous Animal Crossing games, the museum is managed by the adorable owl named Blathers. At the time of writing, it is unknown whether Blathers will resume his post as Museum Manager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, his return to the museum in New Horizons is likely to happen, given that Blathers himself is confirmed to make an appearance in the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, Nintendo also announced several weeks ago that an Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed Nintendo Switch will be released on March 13, which is exactly one week before the launch of the actual game. Unfortunately, due to limited quantities and high demand, pre-orders for the special Switch bundle are already sold out on all major video game retailers.

As of today, stocks for the highly-coveted Animal Crossing-themed Switch are still unavailable. It is currently unknown when Nintendo will be able to catch up with the high demand for the special console. However, it is worth noting that in Japan, pre-orders for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch bundle has been delayed indefinitely due to manufacturing issues caused by the Coronavirus outbreak. Although Nintendo previously announced that the outbreak only affected its production for the Japanese market, several analysts predict that this may also pose a threat to the global supply of the Nintendo Switch.
