With the new products, Nintendo has focused on creating near perfect replicas of the in-game apparel. The collection even includes a stylish bomber jacket imitating the khaki “Dodo Airlines” signature look complete with the “Dodo Airlines” patch. Along with the new jacket, there is also a “Dodo Airlines” hat, featuring an embroidered “DAL” logo on the front. The hat even features “Dodo Airlines” themed bias tape to line the insides. All the new looks are available exclusively at the Nintendo Online Store. Prices range from $29.99 for smaller items like hats to $79.99 for the lux “DAL” bomber jacket. Alongside Animal Crossing: New Horizons merchandise, the store also features products for Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and several other Nintendo IPs.

Historically, customers reported the merchandise featured at both the Nintendo online and physical stores to be high quality. The same standard of craftsmanship can be expected from the new line as their jacket and hat manufacturer appears to have stayed consistent even throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, despite the temporary closure of the NY Nintendo Store. The manufacturer producing the collection is Sportiqe Apparel LLC, the same company employed by Trek, Warner Bros. and the NBA.
There’s no doubt that fans are likely to be excited by this news as Nintendo made the clever decision to target the Animal Crossing: New Horizons franchise with this merchandise. Players are expected to have as much fun dressing themselves up in real life as they do in Animal Crossing.
While the new line is likely to be well received, some of the prices may be a bit pricey for some of the younger fans, similar to certain items like the Link figure from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The high prices could lead to backlash from some players, especially since the franchise is largely geared towards younger fans.
The new collection of Animal Crossing Merchandise is available now on the Nintendo Store.
