Crafting Magic Wands

Magic wands are one of the most unique in the Animal Crossing. They allow players to save outfits and change into them in seconds, just by using the wand. Crafting magic wands can be difficult, but getting the recipes doesn’t have to be. Players will merely have to become good friend’s with Blather’s little sister, Celeste. This adorable red owl will be able to help players to get stars pieces and get the magic started.

Celeste is all about watching meteor showers, and will appear on players’ islands at night. On nights she’s around, players can wish on shooting stars when there’s a chime in the sky. If players are empty-handed, they can wish on a star, and when they wake in the morning, their beach will have star fragments for them to pick up. Each wand will need a star fragment, so make sure to pick up as many as possible.

All the Magic Wands

There are many wand recipes in the game, and some of them are tied to certain events, like the Easter Egg collecting event that happened April 1st through the 30th. Lucky for players, they can easily change the time and date on their Switch to grab the seasonal wands recipe.

Here’s a complete list of wands currently in the game, though players can expect more to pop up during upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons events.

Cherry-blossom wand is only available during the Cherry Blossom season, which is April 1st to the 10th. Players can grab this wand randomly from a message in a bottle, balloon, or random villagers. The recipe calls for three star fragments and three cherry blossom petals. Bunny Day - Zipper gives this wand recipe to players on April 12th after the Bunny Day event. Players can make it with 3 star fragments and 1 wobbling zipper toy. Ice - Snowboy gives players this recipe. It’s made with one large snowflake and 3 star fragments. Bamboo - Players can grab this wand randomly from a message in a bottle, balloon, or random villagers during spring. The recipe calls for 3 fragments and 6 young spring bamboo. Mushroom - Players can grab this wand randomly from a message in a bottle, balloon, or random villagers during fall. Players need 3 thin mushrooms and 3 star fragments. Bug - Players can get this wand during the Bug Off from Flick. They get the wand itself, and so players can make them. Fish - C. J. gives this wand to players during the Fishing Tourney, and it is also not a DIY item. Star - Celeste gives players this recipe the first time she meets them. The recipe is 3 star fragments and 1 large fragment.

The rest of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons wands are randomly given to players as gifts from Celeste, so players will have to talk to her each time she appears in hopes of getting each one. Players may have to trade with friends to collect them all.
