The age of the life sim likely does not deter its community from continuing to play the game. Though the number of concurrent players may have dwindled since Animal Crossing: New Horizons first launched in 2020, there is still a hefty number of fans who log onto their island regularly. This is likely why there is a massive amount of fan art and original fan-generated content available online, as fans continue to be inspired to be creative by the Nintendo Switch title.

On Reddit, user Corpsebin shared their version of what a dinosaur type of Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager would look like via a 3D render. In the footage, the artist seems to have used a long-necked dinosaur such as a Diplodocus or Brontosaurus as inspiration for their 3D work. Corpsebin mentioned in the comments that the dinosaur-themed villager is actually an original character created by Twitter user DarkGreyClouds. The Redditor likely used the original artist’s work as the basis of their 3D render of the villager.
Though Corpsebin may not have created the character design, they did put effort in rendering the villager in 3D. Comments on the Reddit thread complimented their work, with some stating that it would likely not be wise to give a dinosaur villager Animal Crossing: New Horizons fossils as gifts. Though there are no dino villagers in the life sim, the concept and 3D render at least gave the community an idea of what these species of villagers would feel like if they were actually implemented into the game.
Upon checking their old Twitter post, the original artist DarkGreyClouds created five other dinosaur-themed villagers for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With the community seemingly liking Corpsebin’s 3D rendering work, it is possible that they will be encouraged to also render the other conceptual villager designs into 3D art. However, should they choose to do so, it would be better if they provide proper credit to the original artist next time.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
