The presentation detailed the appearance of a bunny called Zipper who will be making an appearance to celebrate Bunny Day between April 1 and 12. Players will be tasked with finding eggs, much like an Easter Egg hunt. The latest Animal Crossing update has improved several mechanics and delivering new content will likely keep fans coming back to the title. There is also the promise of another update that is set for the end of April and will include the foundation for an Earth Day event. With this said, there may be delays because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The beginning of this Nintendo Direct Mini presentation warned fans that release dates are “subject to change” in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. This may refer to the April update for New Horizons as the director of the game has openly stated that the coronavirus may impact the progress on updates. The full impact of the pandemic is yet to be seen and many will be comforted by having an engaging game, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons in these trying times.
The latest Animal Crossing is giving players plenty to find, and will likely be a welcome distraction from current events. The fact that the game is getting updates and support from Nintendo will only add to the enjoyment players can find in the game, and it will be interesting to see what is added as time goes on. For now, it looks like there is plenty on the horizon for Animal Crossing.
