The spooky items in New Horizons come in conjunctions with the Halloween update and coming across them as is as accessible as seasonal items from before, with some added tweaks. Every day, players can find a spooky item at Nook’s Cranny for a premium Bell price. The seasonal item rotates daily, so be sure to check the Nooklings’ seasonal section often to see what item is in stock that day. It is possible to see the same item twice, so don’t be discouraged if this happens.
Players also have the option of going the traditional route of finding spooky DIY recipes via the floating balloons lugging packages of random goodies, the daily beached message in a bottle containing a random recipe, as well as finding a home-bound villager that is currently crafting and speaking to them to receive the item that villager is currently working on. It should also be noted that on October 31st, Halloween Day, players can collect spooky DIY recipes from their costumed residents by giving the talking critters a piece of candy or by giving Jack, the Halloween visitor, a Lollipop.
In all, there are 14 spooky items available for crafting, and those include:
Spooky arch Spooky candy set Spooky carriage Spooky chair Spooky fence Spooky garland Spooky lantern Spooky lantern set Spooky rug Spooky scarecrow Spooky standing lamp Spooky table Spooky table setting Spooky tower Spooky wall Spooky wand
Each item requires certain crafting items and the items themselves can even be changed by customizing them with the various colored pumpkins players will be growing this season. While it may take some time to collect them all, diligent players should have no issue getting all 14 spooky items before this event is over.
