RELATED: Animal Crossing New Horizons: 10 Awesome Ideas For Rooms In Your House
There are certainly ways to obtain ample Bells to help cover those house payments and furnishings. Still, many find it tough to sustain these earnings daily. This list will highlight 10 useful and resourceful ways to keep the cash flow going on a regular basis. Most of these can bring in several thousands of Bells per day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and with little effort.
10 Visit Friends’ Islands Frequently
The social component to Animal Crossing has always been a key part of the experience, and this is particularly the case with New Horizons. The unique traits of each island are pretty significant - as players can take advantage of the distinct Stalk Market prices and varying Hot Items at Nook’s Cranny.
Moreover, there’s a good chance that a friend’s island will be home to foreign fruit, which can be obtained, grown, and sold for 500 Bells apiece versus just 100 for native fruit. And of course, there’s also the potential for gift exchanges, resource gathering, and additional fish and bugs to be had on different islands.
9 Seek Out Large Fish In The Ocean
Fishing can be a fun and relaxing activity, but those lucky and astute enough can turn this into a lucrative one as well. Make it a point to seek out larger shadows lurking in the water, as this increases the chances of landing a valuable catch such as an Oarfish.
Additionally, larger and rarer fish types are more likely to be hanging around in oceans, rather than rivers or lakes, so focus most efforts on these locations. The best thing about fishing is that it can be done rather quickly on a daily basis, and more almost always manage to show up.
8 Plant A Garden Of Hybrid & White Flowers
Flowers help make an island look pretty and colorful, though they’re also a great way to lure bugs. Common types of these flowers are more likely to draw more typical insects like Ladybugs. Yet, white and hybrid flowers hold the potential to bring some of the game’s more valuable insects. The 2,400-Bell Orchid mantis can be seen on various white flowers, while Peacock butterflies - which bring in 2,500 - can be drawn to hybrid types.
Make a point to plant a vast garden full of flowers in a diagonal/checkerboard pattern. This will enable the growth of hybrid varieties that fill into these spots.
7 Take The Mystery Tour Often
Traveling to random islands chock-full of goods is a feature that should be taken advantage of. Take some time to save up ample Nook Miles; several thousand is ideal, given that each trip costs 2,000. Be sure to gather the proper tools needed to plunder this island, and fly on over via the airport. Having the Miles needed to make daily trips there might be tough, though it’s certainly feasible to aim for multiple trips a week. Doing so can bring in thousands upon thousands of extra Bells per week, given the likelihood of rare fish/bugs, as well as exotic fruit to plant and sell.

This can be further exploited through tarantula/scorpion farming as well. Basically, take the time to clear out all growth and rocks at the Mystery Island during evening hours (7pm-4am). Doing so will create the conditions that could bring many valuable tarantulas/scorpions your way.
6 Focus On Nook Miles
The novel Nook Miles system is a fun and handy way to land more goods, cosmetic flair, and unlockable features. Yet, it can also be translated directly to Bells. For just 500 Miles, players can instantly earn 3,000 Bells, so you’ll want to stock up on as many of these as you can.
Many Miles can be earned on a regular basis to generate these Bells by checking the phone app and honing in on the more valuable goals. Prioritize the “Nook Miles +” in particular, as the first 5 new tasks of the day will be at least twice the number of usual Miles. These may also grant a chance to earn five times the amount for one!
5 Look For Fossils Every Day
Fossils are another fun item to collect. They make for some cool display items both on the island and inside the Blathers Museum. But as time progresses and the inevitable repeats are found, you can turn these seemingly useless collectibles into loads of Bells. Five can be found each day on your island, so get ready to play archaeologist and get digging!

After having Blathers assess the fossils at the museum, the specific artifact will be revealed. Next, sell them at Nook’s Cranny, as they can bring in a hefty chunk of change. Earnings are often in the 4,000 range, and can reach as high as 6,000 for the Brachio skull and T-Rex skull.
4 Craft & Sell Hot Items
One way to churn out ample cash on a daily basis is to utilize the different in-game conditions and activities that shift each day. A key feature here is the “hot items” at Nook’s Cranny.
Each day, a random item will be announced by Timmy and Tommy. This promotion will allow you to sell these items at double their usual value. The best part is that these can typically be crafted with fairly obtainable goods. Be sure to craft a wealth of these, and check back every day to repeat the process. Even better, this will eventually be bumped up to two separate hot items once Nook’s Cranny is upgraded.
3 Gather & Plant Loads Of Foreign Fruit
As mentioned, non-native fruit can be a terrific asset in NH. Not only do they fetch a pretty penny, but they can also be grown in abundance on your island. The best part is that no matter how many trees containing this fruit are grown, they’ll always sell at the increased price at Nook’s.
So while it can be a lengthy, cumbersome process, take the time to grow many of these trees, including the similarly valuable coconut trees on the sands.
2 Seek Out Money Rocks
Each day, one of the four or five rocks on your island will contain a wealth of Bells that can be mined in mere seconds. The best part is that since there are so few of them, they can be found rather quickly. These “money rocks” can produce up to 16,000 Bells with little time and effort involved, so have a shovel or axe ready and get to mining!
More of these can be found when visiting a friend’s island or taking the Mystery Tour as well.
1 Plant Money Trees
One of the simplest, most effective ways to earn many Bells on a daily basis is to seek out and plant money trees. The game allows players to nab extra cash through a randomly-generated spot on the island.
Simply seek out a gold glowing area on the ground and dig up the 1,000 Bell prize that comes with it. After this, allocate a large portion of Bells that can be buried - 10,000 is the best, as it’ll yield at least 30,000 in return with a chance to produce much more. Bury the bag, then wait a few days for this investment to blossom into even more precious Bells. Only one of these can be planted per day, so be sure to stay on this - it’s well worth it!
